Uncle Clive was hugely successful, very ambitious and gifted. It always amazed me that he & Aunty Di eloped by train from Harrismith (so my Mum said!) and were married in Ladysmith because as a farm manager he did not have the necessary clout to ask for Di's hand! His words of wisdom to me were that one should always remember that there are two sides to every coin/situation & one should d take both siudes into consideration!
