Apart from Granny's incredible organisation skills and industriousness I was always struck by the peaceful atmosphere at Fyvie - her staff loved her and worked like clockwork. I will never forget the devotion of her loyal helper and 'nurse', who when Granny began to wander would actually sleep on the mat across her door to keep her safe. Our family did not appreciate and honour (^ ?) her sufficiently. My son Ross Stockil is my salute to Granny
