A grandmother I would love to have known for longer. I think I inherited her love for cats. I remember her, in the back yard, at night, ringing a bell and cats would come running to drink the milk she poured into a huge enamel basin. At Fyvie, in the early mornining she would come and sit on my bed and peel an apple for me to eat.
